I grew up North West of Lincoln near Branched Oak Lake, where I developed a love for hunting and fishing. I also love to work on cars and learn how to do new hands-on projects. Outside of the gym, I stay active by playing recreational softball and basketball. I have always been active. I played football, basketball, baseball and track throughout high school, and intermural sports in college. After college, I got busy working and let the physical aspect of my life slip. Before I knew it, I was out of shape and carrying some extra weight. When I got engaged in 2018, I set a goal for myself to be in the best shape of my life by my wedding day. One year later, on the day of my wedding, I reached my goal of losing 55 pounds and felt great about myself. That was when I realized that I wanted to help other people feel the way I felt on my wedding day by showing them how to set and achieve their own fitness goals. If I can do it, anyone can do it! My favorite workout is leg day, and my favorite exercise is the back squat. Leg day is very demanding and the back squat is a technical lift that requires attention to detail. There is no better feeling than successfully hitting a new back squat PR or finishing a workout on leg day knowing that you pushed yourself to your limit and that you’re better now than you were when you walked in to the gym.
